Terms of service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the CapyDex service, available at capydex.com and through the CapyDex mobile app.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms in full.

2. About the service

CapyDex is a trading card game (TCG) collection tracker. It covers 9 games: Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, Star Wars Unlimited, Dragon Ball Super Fusion World, Gundam and Riftbound.

The service lets you:

• Browse the catalogue of sets, cards and sealed products
• Identify a card by image recognition from the mobile app
• Manage your collection, binders and wishlist
• Track the estimated value of your collection over time
• Share a public profile and connect with other users
• Export your collection to CSV and PDF

3. Sign-up and account

Using the service requires an account created with a valid email address. You can also sign in with Google, Apple or Discord. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

You agree to provide accurate information and not to create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes.

4. Subscription and payment

CapyDex is a subscription service (Capy+) costing €1.99 per month or €19.90 per year, starting with a one-month free trial. No feature is sold separately.

On the website, payment is handled by Stripe. On iOS, the subscription is purchased through Apple in-app purchases and governed by the App Store terms; in that case you manage and cancel it from your Apple account settings.

The subscription has no minimum term and can be cancelled at any time. Access remains active until the end of the period you have paid for.

If payment fails, access is suspended. Your data is kept and you can resume your subscription at any time.

5. User data and content

The collection data you enter (cards owned, purchase prices, notes, receipt photos) belongs to you. You can export it at any time to CSV or PDF.

You can delete your account and all of your personal data from your account settings. How that data is processed is set out in our privacy policy.

6. Intellectual property

The code, design and text of the service are the property of CapyDex.

Card names, logos and artwork belong to their respective rights holders, in particular:

• Magic: The Gathering — Wizards of the Coast LLC
• Yu-Gi-Oh! — Konami Digital Entertainment
• Disney Lorcana — The Walt Disney Company / Ravensburger AG
• One Piece, Dragon Ball Super and Gundam — Bandai Co., Ltd.
• Star Wars Unlimited — Lucasfilm Ltd. / Fantasy Flight Games
• Riftbound — Riot Games, Inc.

CapyDex is an unofficial service, with no affiliation or partnership with these companies. Artwork is shown for informational purposes under the right of quotation.

7. Prices shown

Prices come from third-party public sources: Cardmarket, TCGplayer, CardTrader, eBay, and Yuyu-tei for Japanese editions. They are updated daily and provided for guidance only.

CapyDex does not guarantee their accuracy and cannot be held liable for any difference from an actual transaction price.

8. Liability

CapyDex provides a tracking and information service. The prices shown do not constitute investment advice. CapyDex cannot be held liable for buying or selling decisions made on the basis of the information displayed.

The service is provided “as is”. CapyDex works to keep it available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.

9. User conduct

You must not use the service to:

• Extract catalogue data in bulk (scraping)
• Create automated accounts
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Publish unlawful or misleading content, or content that harms others
• Carry out any illegal activity

Any breach may lead to suspension or deletion of the account without notice.

10. Discord integration

You can link your CapyDex account to a Discord account via OAuth2. This link is entirely optional and is never required to use the service.

If you enable it, CapyDex collects your Discord ID, username and Discord email address in order to link the two accounts and automatically assign the matching roles on the CapyDex Discord server.

You can unlink your account at any time from your account area: your Discord data is then deleted immediately and the roles removed.

11. Changes to these Terms

CapyDex may amend these Terms. Users are notified by email of any substantial change. Continuing to use the service after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
